Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Mechanic

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor performs non routine duties. Must be able locate and diagnose failures and do basic troubleshooting from detailed specifications and basic 480/220 knowledge and install breakers/breaker panels, and able to run conduit. Basic Electrical knowledge as a Maintenance Mechanic.

• Perform PM’s on Food Processing Equipment and safety checks on Production Equipment
• Able to detect and repair malfunction of bearings, gear boxes/Cam/Geneva drives
• Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose common electrical problem on equipment and fix the problems
• Must be able to run 480 and 220 and install breaker panels and breakers, and must be able to run conduit
• Must be able to understand and use multimeter, read basic electrical drawing and apply it to equipment
• Must read pneumatic, hydraulic drawings and cut metal/stainless steel
• Knowledge of plumbing and pipefitting such as threading and sweating pipes

• Maintain concentration while performing tasks over period of time
• Knowledge of all elements of electricity
• Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic and all plant equipment
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalence Certificate preferred, but not required. 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment working on plant process equipment preferred
• 2-4 years electrical experience working and installing breakers and breaker panels. Ability to run 480 and 220 with experience running conduit
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English effectively in writing/orally
• Must be able to do basic math calculations using a working knowledge of both standard and metric measurements
• Able to work assigned shift(s) with frequent overtime. Must be on call for 24/7 emergencies
